WHAT WE BELIEVE_
On Easter 2010 we penned a
statement of our core beliefs and philosophy as a church called the ‘Creation
Creed’:
We believe that in the beginning, in the garden, God invited people into relationship with Him. We also believe that God invited people to join Him in making something of the world; in co-creating with Him. But this was ruined by the fall.
Jesus’ resurrection invites us back into both a personal relationship and a working partnership with God to put creation back together. The church is a community through which Christ-followers can join God in bringing restoration to culture and creation.
While the Creation Creed is a statement of how we seek to act upon the
teachings of Scripture, our doctrinal beliefs are best summed up by the ancient Apostles Creed:
We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead.On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven,He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
